The year is 2015.
The month, December.
The day, Monday.
The date, the 7th.
The status of thumbnails in the most popular Linux distros' file selectors: Nonexistent.
>>51734923
not true, though the gnome open files dialog box and drag and drop are both literally shit.
But nautilus in general has thumbnails.

Screenshot?

See this shitty post about this issue already
>>51734866
Also, LFS faggot. Do it yourself
>>51734958
google sushi nautilus
it also works for the xfce file browser. I imagine KDE also has thumbnails, and probably unity and cinnamon too.

Even though it IS the current year?
>>51735160
Where is the bait, exactly?
This is legit the reason I switched back to Windows. I don't use my PC for much else than posting here.
>>51735296
>switching to windows because of one feature
topkek
>>51735370
A paramount feature when you're main use is posting with images

I'm using Ubuntu, and Firefox works fine for me with thumbnails.

But that's wrong, you fucking retard.
>>51735542
Wow that looks disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself
>>51735296
Open the file in Nautilus and drag it onto the upload field, makes literally no difference in effort.
>>51735542
The large image on the right is an image preview, not a thumbnail. The small icons are not big enough to discern subtle differences in images and thus are not thumbnails either.
A reminder that the purpose of a thumbnail is to allow the user to be able to quickly select an image without needing to click for previews.
>>51735542
Absolutely fucking horrid looking
>>51735563
>mac user criticizing aesthetics
lolol, OK, m8. Enjoy that Fisher Price look you have.
>inb4 "hurr durr, I use Windows"
My point still stands.

Is what I meant to type
>>51735683
Darker colors are easier on the eyes for those of us who spend a lot of time in front of a screen.
Besides, I like to think of it as an "industrial" look. Function over form.
You don't like it? Set yours up differently.
Screaming about how much you dislike my GUI theme choices on a Japanese imageboard is pure autism.
It makes about as much sense as throwing a tantrum because you don't like someone's desktop background pic.
>>51735744
Your shit literally looks worse than stock Windows XP

This might be intentional but Zizi is literally French for "willy".
>>51735842
What do you use thumbnails for?
>>51735577
>The small icons are not big enough to discern subtle differences in images and thus are not thumbnails either.
Oh boy, its the good old "im redefining the word thumbnails" bait again.
Found a screenshot of CRUX guy's desktop.
>>51735870
Not that guy, but
Redefining or not, the thumbnails in the default GTK picker is still too small
>>51735908
Yeah, pity it's not open source so you could change that.
Oh, wait...
>>51735919
That's the issue here though. Its not that easily changed.
>>51735919
Wow you're a retard

It doesn't matter if the content of a picture is ``discernible'' or not, thumbnails are small preview pictures of images, that's it. Any other "definition" is stupid bait and bullshit.
>>51735542
Reminds me of 2007.
At least linux has video thumbnails.. unlike my stoopid mac.
>>51736144
How though?
