what's the difference?

did you audit all of your code down to the compiler?
The pre-compiled binary is identical to the binary that I would compile thus, it is not necessary for me to compile a program that I haven't changed when other people take the time to do it for me.

like any of you have any real experience looking for real backdoors
/g/'s "freedums" are just a fad lol

Who says I need to do it? If I needed it, I'd hire somebody I trust to do it.

I have read every line of every source I've ever compiled
>compile binary
>download binary
>MD5 for both match
What's the point?

>Who says I need to do it? If I needed it, I'd hire somebody I trust to do it.
so whats the point of avoiding precompiled binaries then?
are you saying you don't trust people packaging it when developers of the software are just as dangerous?

Freedom doesn't imply "I can do everything". Living in a society that respects the right to property law means people need to act with self control.
