Well you can grab a stick and prop it up just to be sure. Graphics cards get very heavy.

Or put the entire case on its side.
>>
amd thirsty card

cooler has to dissipate lot of heat

big dense-finned cooler cooler needed

cooler heavy

gpu sag due to weight
>>
oh and also, nice fire hazard in the bottom left of your case
>>
>>51697107
>[
Yeah it looks like shit but its fine, the case has room between the Psu and the table. And i have filters on to not let get particles on.
>>
>>51697091
i searched Gpu sagging, ive never had a card so big to i didn't know it was a thing.

Just that sexy official AMD GPU-sag™.

Also, your cable management is pure shit, and those open PCI slots at the back of case looks like it got the teeth knocked out of its face.

Enjoy no airflow and 90° C temps.
>>
>>51697071
It became a thing when graphics cards started to demand huge two-slot coolers.
The PCIe slot was never designed to carry that much weight. Some motherboard manufacturers sell boards with reinforced PCIe slots, but honestly, I hope this will be addressed in the next revision of PCIe.
>>
>>51697173
My case is shit, its the best i could do. Still i have no airflow problem and i been checking the temps for two week now and everything is fine.
>>
>>51697173
With a non modular like that where you keep the shit dreadlock of unused cables. that looks to good.

No excess, literally git gud.

This bugdet case doesn't even have room behind the mobo, and its cable management is still better than yours.
>>
>>51697215
I like a challenge, and I usually keep them in the driver bays for most budget builds, but this one I managed to sneak them behind the mobo.

The worst part is dealing with the daisy-chained sata connectors, fuck those things.
>>
>>51697071
Every long/heavy GPU bends.

The fix for this is a motherboard with metal-reinforced PCIe slots (H/Z170) and a backplate on the GPU.

It doesn't hurt it unless the case gets bumped, if you're worried literally just prop it up with a stick off the top of the PSU.
>>
>>51697261
Oh also, use the cable management holds and run the PCIe power cables from as high as you can so they're taut on the card.
Helps hold it up
>>
>>51697222
Shit, ok may be shit then. Im goona try better. WIll post after pic.

Is there more to this 'Yoda school of PC advice'
>>

There's probably some kind of hole behind your mobo you might have to use, but that'll mean you'll have to unscrew your mobo.

Or you could route the cable through the bottom and have it come out near your disc reader just so the cable is out of the way.

Do whatever you can to keep your cables out of the path of your fans and airflow. Like that HDD can either be put on the bottom or top bracket, instead of in the way of the airflow to the GPU.

Or be complacent about your subpar job, fuck this is /g/, not your personal cable routing butt-buddy.

ITX cases have already addressed it. But everybody else is fucked.

He's talking about the fact that it's a shit PSU and is likely to fry out faster than Jerry Garcia on tour.
>>
>>51697071

My 770 from ASUS also sags like that, so i tied its end with cable ties to a hdd cage on my case to keep it up. No problems at all.

did you specifically select the worst PSU possible? I'm actually impressed at your ability to fail.

I have that case and cooler!

My h100i just died.

Fans hooked up to it wont stay on. They power up, and then when they get to speed the pump and fans shut off.

Tried updating firmware, still there.

Just ordered an NH-l9x65 as a replacement.

Shit nigga i would NOT trust that with a 390

OP, i would very much recommend you undervolt the card as much as you can at stock clocks

Is the best i could find in my poorshit country. You fags are too convinces by that bronze shit. Things work anyway. I had a Powercooler shit Psu with 550 and 8800 gtx for 10 years. And no problem.
>>
>>51698554
I opened that shit a few days to clean it. It has absolutely full of dust. crazy. I hardly turned that shit off in 10 years. NO PROBLEM. all that bronze and shit is bullshit too sell shit.

Oh and in case you were wondering why we know your PSU is cheap shit like this, it's because its power rating is the combined total of all the voltage rails.
Good power supplies can do their rated wattage on 12v alone.
>>
>>51698855
Im not saying is not shit. Im saying i always used shit Psu and never had a problem.
>>
>>51698872
Then you've had shit, sloppy hardware in the past that didn't care about voltage spikes.

Have fun replacing the 390 in 8 months when you try to warranty it and they tell you to fuck off
>>
>>51698592
>>51698554

bronze certification has to do with efficiency, numbnuts. Your PSU doesn't even hit 80%, probably closer to 60% - which means you need to draw more wattage to achieve your load. That means your poorass is getting even poorer, electric-bill wise.

On a related but slightly unrelated note: I have an i5 4690k (not overclocked), 16gb ddr3 on a micro atx motherboard with an EVGA 500watt bronze supply. I just ordered a 390 without a second thought. Am I fucked?
>>
>>51700475
Plz tell me boys.

Possibly. The R9 390 can pull up to 220w in GTA V at 1080p.

ok i tried the best i could, i put most of the cables behind the mobo. The power cable and the gpu both go back the case and back. The dreadlock is also behind the case.

I lowered the hdd and put the cables under it with zip ties. the fan cable goes out and back in so it does not disturb.

I used and plastic sata cable and zip ties to give some extra support to the card. And also i undervolted it a bit since my psu is utter shit as you guys make me notice.

that is all.

My shit is pretty straight still.
Been in my case since the release of the 390, made sure this shit was snapped in the best it could, made sure the screws were on as tight as I could get them with the card sitting even, and recently the power cables running from the top after seeing someone else do that like 3 months ago.
