This thing, i think a modular computer is sexy as fuck, i had this idea in highschool to make a computer where you would have a big grid of spaces, and you could put these little blocks in them that work as different things, and change out the blocks to fit your need as you need them.
The computer itself would work as a form of motherboard, but you could slide in a CPU block, which would range from little celerons for like 100$ up to xeon processors, all fitting in the same little cube that plugged into the computer. Same thing for SSD's, graphics cards, the power supply, ram, et. Everything would fit together as little modules on a checkerboard.
Issue is then,

So my idea was essentially if apple tried to make modular pc's, because it would cost a shitton, use only a specific brands cubes, and have limited options as such.
Razer made this one and i love it, and i want one. I dont care if a 120gb SSD module would cost me 2000$ as a result, i want one.

since I'm a cheap bastard instead of buying a new case I thought of sawing it to make it smaller and getting rid of the plastic edges with that fan panel then cutting some round square shaped metal pieces (with some air holes that I'd protect with dust filters) to replace the glass and sand everything to make the case look round and simple

I win assholes, I got this thing in College. The saddest part was I wasn't trying to make an Alienware clone. I just liked it for it's high gloss automotive finish and headlights. It was completely pointless, just a basic steel ATX box on the inside with sharp edges, shit ventilation, no cable management, difficult to access drive cages, and a side panel that was a huge pain in the ass to remove thanks to the brittle plastic around the alien eyes
