I just installed Windows 10 and since I've been exclusively Linux user for past four years I'm bit out of loop. I need...
>video player (CCCP still way to go, yes?)
>pdf reader (Foxit still?)
>torrent client (µTorrent?)
>music player that resembles Rhythmbox
>application to read&write ext2/3/4 and btrfs partitions

Also, what benefits I get from creating and using Microsoft account on this?
>>
>Media Player
VLC
>PDF Reader
Adobe Reader
>Torrent
utorrent
>>
>video player (CCCP still way to go, yes?)
mpc-hc with madvr, potplayer with madvr or vlc
>pdf reader (Foxit still?)
adobe reader
>torrent client (µTorrent?)
qbittorrent or deluge (utorrent is full of ads by now)
>music player that resembles Rhythmbox
foobar2000 or musicbee
>application to read&write ext2/3/4 and btrfs partitions
not possible in windows as far as i know -> linux livecd
>>
>>51652216
>>program doesn't exist in the repository
>>didn't need that anyway!
>>51655479
I can agree with the first two but utorrent is trash
>>
>>51655514
>>51655512
well i use utorrent pro, so i don't have issues with ads and shit
>>

The Windows 10 Groove Music player is pretty good
>>
>>51655408
>video player (CCCP still way to go, yes?)
God no, either use k-lite, kawaii codec pack or vlc
>pdf reader (Foxit still?)
That one opens 99% of the pdfs I tried so its a solid choice if you don't want to use adobe
>torrent client (µTorrent?)
Qbitorrent or deluge, or some ancient version of µTorrent
>music player that resembles Rhythmbox
Foobar can resemble whatever you want
>application to read&write ext2/3/4 and btrfs partitions
Afaik its not possible to open btrfs on windows for ext just google it, should be on first link
>>
>>51655538
>paying to pirate

hahaha what the fuck are you doing nigger

>>51655408
>video player
mpc-hc with kawaii codec pack
>pdf reader
idk i don't read pdfs, pretty sure they open in the browser anyways. Adobe Reader is AIDS
>torrent client
use transmission-daemon or rtorrent on your GNU/Linux seedbox. You do have one of these, don't you?
>music player that resembles Rhythmbox
Rhythmbox resembles iTunes tbqh, but iTunes is shit. I use Foobar2000 and Spotify personally.
>application to read&write ext2/3/4 and btrfs partitions
idk lol
>>
>>51655408
uTorrent is a friggin botnet, just get transmission-qt.
>>
>>51655408
>>51655479
>>51655831

Stick with uTorrent 2.2.1 and never move beyond that.
>>
>>51656029
This is a rhetorical question:
How can someone be so braindead as to recommend ancient software for something network connected, especially on Windows?
>>
>>51655408
MPC-HC with KCP
SumatraPDF
qBittorrent
foobar2k
Ext2Fsd

Here.
>>
>>51656745
Is that why your still using windows 7 then and not 10?
>>
>>51656745
Old versions of uTorrent are the only thing that don't trigger massive throttling by my ISP. I tried qBitTorrent and websites loaded at dial-up speeds while the torrents were hardly even moving.
>>
>>51657582
uTorrent does the same thing. I had to play with the settings. You might have too many connections open at once. Try limiting them to 100 or less.
>>
>>51655408
This is what happens when a GNU/Linux user calls it "Linux" and has no idea about their digital freedom
>>
>>51657604
I have my global connections set to 512, constantly at my upload speed cap (256kbps) and nothing bad happens. It's definitely something to do with the protocol obfuscation uTorrent is using.
>>
>>51655408
CCCP still valid, yes. MPC is also popular

SumatraPDF instead of foxit

Deluge is my torrent client of choice because python

Foobar2k for music

Nothing for btrfs afaik, but you can mount ext2/3/4 rw with ext2fsd (granted, I'm pretty sure it mounts ext3/4 in ext2 compatibility mode)

this was never a thing, freetard

Literally back to Reddit/Facebook
>>
>>51655408
Not exactly sure what Rhythmbox is like but I'd recommend Foobar2000
>>
>>51657666
Implying those fags even know about 2.2.1
>>
>>51657724
implying using an old version makes it perfectly fine
>>
>>51655408
mpv/mpc-hc
sumatra
qbittorrent/transmission
foobar2000
dunno, don't open my linux partitions with my windows install
>>
>>51657724
I hope a major change in the way bittorrent works forces you to switch to something else :^)
>>
>>51655408
>I just installed Windows 10 and since I've been exclusively Linux user for past four years I'm bit out of loop. I need...

Vlc mandatory
>>pdf reader (Foxit still?)
Windows reader is fine, adobe reader is better
>>torrent client (µTorrent?)
Utorrent (2.2.1 if you don't like ads)
>>music player that resembles Rhythmbox
I think groove music is a bit bloated but it werks and it's already there
>>application to read&write ext2/3/4 and btrfs partitions
I don't need it
>Also, what benefits I get from creating and using Microsoft account on this?
Being better spied, also you have access to the market, if you need "apps"
>>
>>51657732
>>51657768

>implying new version are full of bloatware and bit mining
I was using a new version back in 2013 but I realized uTorrent was going in a direction that I didn't want to take and I never looked back.
>>
>>51655408
Make a local account OP, never use a microshit account.
>>
>>51655538
You could have disabled the ads through the "advanced" settings without paying for Pro, lol.
>>
>>51655538
>paying for botnet

you're retarded, get the fuck out
>>
There used to be aprpjext called ext2fs or someshit like that but I doubt it's supported on win 10. It worked but quite a shitcunt to setup.
