This is the most cruel joke Apple has pulled in years. When will it be updated with better than 2008 Core 2 Duo internals?

I'd buy a MacBook if it were like half the price.

If the OS is well-optimized, it does not require extra horse power.

With that said, anyone buying Apple products is a total cuuck. The company posts billions in profits, and pays little taxes - a money that could have been used for life-improving projects for American citizens. Fuck. You.

Core M is faster than mobile Core 2 Duos. If you mean desktop Core 2 Duos, you're a retard for comparing 65W CPUs to 5W CPUs.

>If the OS is well-optimized, it does not require extra horse power.
Complete bullshit. It may be true for iOS where Apple keeps tight control on how apps are developed for it, but on actual desktop OSes that run actual, large desktop software, the OS being "optimized" make zero difference in how software will run.
Also, OS X is not like iOS where it runs on SoC design by Apple themselves. OS X runs on a large range of Intel processors from various different architectures. They can't just "optimize" for every Intel processor they used.

Apple products have very high resale value so that ain't gonna happen

just saw one tonight never used one and know nothing about osx

but i am totally jelly
being a PC user that there is nothing that that comes close in terms of build quality and weight and size

i don't how it performs but the size, design , metal build are jaw dropping
all machines should have this size, weight and build quality

also the KB looks comfy as fuck

too bad they wasted all the real estate with that useless as fuck reactive touch pad bullshit it's utterly fucking worthless
they could have made put core m processors in it instead of that stupid gimmick

apple is retarded nobody wants that shit nobody even used their stupid fucking touch gesture crap either

they try too much to innovate with HID device and nobody fucking cares
>>
>>51604539
*put 2 core M processors in it instead of that stupid fucking gimmick dildo touch pad

nobody wants a fucking N64 rumble pack in their touch pad nobody fucking cared crapple , get a fucking clue already

we don't give a fuck about touch pad gestures either or pressure sensitivity touch pad

the touch pad electromagnets take up about 2/3 as much real estate as the fucking logic board

they could have opted for dual processors instead of what essentially amounts to N64 controller rumble pak

I see so many of these (and other macbooks) at my university. Before, I wasn't sure if people were exaggerating/cherry picking, but god damn there's so many. On one hand, I'm jealous of the size and weight (my laptop weighs just under 9 pounds), on the other hand I can do whatever I want on this thing
>>
another thing that bothers me the single usb c
great now you have to buy adapters for everything and have goofy adapters sticking out the side to use any USB device
cant keep it on AC and use any accessories or connect it to video out while charging

and no SD or MSD slot
they could have at least put a MSD and another usb c on the right side

>>51604539
>being a PC user that there is nothing that that comes close in terms of build quality and weight and size
how hard is it to do this?
>newegg
>laptops
>weight: 2-2.9 lbs
>200 results
and a solid 10 of them are real computers with real processors and real ports and not just a glorified tablet without a removable keyboard

>apple sells a portable laptop with a real processor and a shit screen
>they sell another portable laptop with a shit processor, shit everything else, but good screen
fuck you apple you have one fucking job
>>
>>51604717
>I'm jealous of the size and weight
then buy a PC that isnt a shit brick house
>>
>>51605096
If you're talking about Air/Macbook, just get a MBPr 13
>>
>>51605096
they should also not be using IPS
nobody should at this point
when the fuck is everyone going to switch over to OLED ?
it is more power efficient and thinner and has better contrast

>200 results

yeah and not one of them are as thin or as anywhere nice as the solid metal uni-body design of this every single laptop and ultra book on the market is a fucking pile of dog shit

also all intel U series ultramoblie processors are fucking shit

intel is jew lies my i7 haswell ultrabook is useless as fuck they promised 7 hours battery and it is literally dead 45 minutes after i unplug it from AC

runs hot as fuck
can't even run chrome , my iphone 5 scrolls web pages in chrome 1000X better that this absolute POS i7 haswell bullshit

won't run a single fucking web browser worth a shit

forget looking at tumblr porn , tumbler pron pages won't scroll for shit

forget trying to browse windows explorer directories with photos , thumbs take 5 minutes to generate if they do at all

fucking worthless garbage ,all of it
>>
>>51605272
Sounds like a windows problem.

I'm using a Intel Core i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.534GHz

And I can do all of those fine. Literally a 5-6 year old used T410.
>>
>>51605316
>Intel Core i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.534GHz

yeah there you go

intel sneaky jew bastards

i5 and i7 M are way better than i5 and i7 U

i5 and i7 M that are 3 generations old still run better than haswell i5 and i7 U
that are 2o or 3 generations newer

i have a haswell i7 4500u i think it runs normally at 1.8 or it is supposed too

it is utter garbage

i have a convertible that is 2.9 lbs
and it is the closest thing in weight to the macbook
but the build quality is pure shit
it is aluminum but it is thin as fuck, the top is ok but the KB and whole bottom are flimsy as fuck

there is literally not a single windows portable ultrabook device worth a single fuck i looked high and low not for any price can you find something even remotely half decent

maybe surface will be ok in another 2 or 3 generation but right now the bottom is heavy as fuck , and top is huge at nearly 14' who want a 14" fucking tablet it is goofy as fuck
>>
>>51605462
*surface book i mean
