but any dell i've used thats not a barebones $60 monitor, has had some kind of pivoting stand.
My last one, my favored 22in i used for 6 years had a stand with a button on the back. to adjust height, and could freely rotate like you want.
i think you can search for this features on newegg in the advanced search thingy, should be able to find one for what you want.
Thought about getting a used one? I have Dell 2408wfp from 2007, though I've had it for all of those 8 years and it runs perfectly. You can get one for under $200.

Go to fucking goodwill or equivalent and buy a 20$ dell 1440x900 and unscrwe the proprietary mount. Wala you now have a visa mount stand, and a good one at that. Alternitively look in a dumpster for old dell monitors. Anything not literally shit will have one of these stands. For christs sake I have like five or six of these in my basement.

tfw I found an old dell monitor that does this at a yardsale for $20
its not the most modern but it werks..
the stand rotates 90 degrees, tilts up and down, swivels side to side, and raises and lowers a considerable distance.
the only downside is the monitor is 1280x1024 so its almost square, but is still rectangular.
I love it for when faggots post sideways pictures, just happens to swivel the direction that people like to hold their phones wrong it.
going to start coding again so Ill probably but my display into portroit mode.. kinda want a longer monitor for this though

If you want to use your monitor in portrait mode, you want IPS. TN panels generally sacrifice vertical viewing angle for horizontal, but turning the screen messes all of that up.
Just get some U2412Ms OP, they worth it. Something will go on sale during the weekend too.
