The difference with Firefox is that you get one bigass process used to handle all tabs, and it doesn't make use of multiple cores. Also, if one tab crashes, the entire browser crashes.

Chromium-based browsers spawn a process for each tab and that's why the higher memory requirements, but you get much better performance with each individual tab than Firefox.
>>
>>51486668
all browsers are shit, firefox is the least shit.

>he doesn't know about e10s
>he doesn't use nightly

your point is moot. firefox is multiprocess now.
>>
>>51486752
Yeah, idk about that because I switched to Chromium 3-4 months ago because FF shat all over my device.
>>
Opera, though

Using less memory isn't better. It's all about using the available memory efficiently to achieve maximum performance. Firefox becomes less responsive when you open multiple tabs, but with Chrom* you can open as many as you want and it will run fine, even on an old machine. RAMlets still haven't learned.
>>
Opera. Chrome shits on my laptop all the time and it's not a ram issue (6gb).
I know opera is basically reskinned chrome but it's much more stable.

reminder that opera now has ads on the new tab page as well as in the settings.

vivaldi is a better option, if you really don't want firefox.

Opera. Simply better UI.
