Plan on resetting a build I did a while back and giving it to my parents since they're using a Dell from 2005-6. I plan on doing the reset that deletes all the files/programs I downloaded as well as user accounts so it's basically a blank slate.
I couldn't find a definitive answer on this, but am I going to need to reinstall my windows media? Because I built it on a 7 disc and took the free upgrade to 10. I've still got the disc.
Why not just hit the reset button?

So i'll be losing windows 10 then since the disc I'll be using is a wnidows 7 disc? Its not gonna ask me for the product key or some bullshit?

No, by resetting from Windows 10 you'll clean-reinstall Windows 10.

>removes files
>reinstalls windows
Oh wait, I'm an idiot who needs to learn to read.

Why you don't just format and reinstall Windows?
Does reformating a PC actually work well this way? Ever since I started to get into computers I always reformatted my computers with booting the CD/DVD and then formatting the drive there. Somehow I feel like this is a meme and won't be very stable at all.

>meme
This word is meaningless.
Yes, resetting Windows works just fine. I've been doing it ever since Windows 8.

A completely clean install is always a better idea.

I'm just resetting it as a lazy way of uninstalling all the games and programs/loli folders/user accounts. Its literally not going to be used for anything more e-mail and facebook.

Carry on then.

Resetting is a complete clean install.

It's not.
