How many bitcoins can I get like this?
Realistically
>>
>>51470899
As many as you want, if you wait long enough.
>>
>>51470950
This.

But, with difficulty always on the rise, it's unlikely you'll get many.
>>
Okay can I make like 1btc a month?
>>
>>51471070
No, difficulty is way too high for that. You would need to invest thousands of dollars in ASIC's to get that much.

If you want to play in the market, it's cheaper to actually buy a full bitcoin.
>>
Oh i found a calculator.

1.33 GH/s is like 0.09737 usd a month.

Fuck that
>>
1 a year
Bitcoin is worthless for the difficulty.
Mining now requires super computers.
>>
>tfw you used to make .2btc a week on a 7850

It was like $2 then so I didn't really bother mining a lot.

how is mining an incentive then?
>>
>>51472012
you could mine different coins
>>
>>51471899
That was fun.

Am I reddit now?

Remember when Dogecoin sponsored that NASCAR car?
>>
>>51471805
That's only nine dollars...
>>

It was all a scam mate, you're better off without it.
Besides, who the fuck was going to buy your coins when they were worth +$600?

Oh, and IIRC there was a leaked Bank of America internal paper that investigated Bitcoin and estimated that their value would stabilize at around $2,000 per BTC.

imagine if bitcoin was just NSA cloud decryption scheme where people decrypt stuff for the nsa, and the value of the bitcoin is what they pay you for the effort.
>>
>>51473032
That was the joke. Dogecoin was the idea that bitcoins only value is their memetic value. So memecoins were made.
And so people got in early on /g/ and made redditors drive the value up.
A fair few /g/tards made a lot of money from doges.
I made $300, which wasn't bad considering I was mining on a 7850. I wish I'd started mining earlier, I could have easily made ten times that.
And that's $300 real money. I exchanged the doges for bits and then the bits for real money to some idiot who was trading at $900 a coin, then like a week later bitcoin crashed. I was verily amused.

It isn't.

Now it is just a trap for people to fall into. Only the already established miners can make anything now days.

how hard would it be to mine enough bitcoins to pay for a VPN monthly? I just want to pay for a VPN without it being linked to me.
>>
>>51473717

just buy btc and use that to pay

Any mysterious hacker who stays unknown for years is probably actually an intelligence agency.

Don't know why people forget the US isn't the only country that has alphabet agents though.
>>
>>51473738
lets say I pay it via bank transfer or check card, will my personal info be linked to the bitcoins I buy?
>>
>>51471805
I had 1.5 million at one point. Sold it all for $2000, an iPad and a PS4. Got out right in time, too. Day later prices crashed like crazy. I still had like 10k, but I deleted my wallet.
>>
>>51473922

Unless the individual or company taking the payment and giving out the bitcoins shreds all documents relating to the purchase.

Bitcoins aren't anonymous. Literally every transaction is right there for everyone to see.
>>
>>51471805
>mfw have about 700k dogecoins from old times
should have sold.
will this shit ever gain in value?
>>
>>51473922
buy litecoin then trade it for bitcoin on an exchange
>>
>>51471238
No that's several hundred times more than he'd get by running it 24/7. Anon, you'd be lucky to get 0.05 btc in a year.

Maybe if BTC goes up again
During the last spike the most popular altcoins (i.e. lite, peer, name, and especially doge) went up in value by 40x+ their original price due to speculators trying to catch other "trains"

and once those coins are too difficult to mine they will just make even more coins that are easier.
this is autism..

op mining coins for profit is dead.. and someone has to pay for the electricity used to run the stuff used to mine the coins with.

the only way to not loose money with this is to steal electricity and even then you wont turn a profit..
while you are open to stealing, there is allot better ways to make money by stealing than to steal electricity..

if you are dead set on stealing electric tap the grid and charge battery backups to run your house and save the money directly from an electric bill.
>>
>>51470899
You will never be efficient enough to profit that time has long passed, you may be able to make money renting EC2 Servers but I don't think that works anymore either
