Zuckerberg is probably a very smart guy in academic terms but when it came to making Facebook he didn't mess about in a dirge of assembly / Haskell / erlang / C code, he went straight to PHP, the unholy grail of internet infrastructure, so he could get stuff done.
And I just looked at that topic which praised C# in comparison with C++, in terms of getting stuff done, and this is on /g/, a board filled with people who spend 500 hours getting obscure OSs to work so they can have 0.5334" task bars instead of 0.5333" task bars.
So what languages are the best if I just want to Get Shit Done. I may want to make the next Minecraft, the next 4chan, the next whatever.
Is it PHP, Java, JavaScript, ruby, HTML/CSS, c#, and not much else?
