Just jumped out of a Fallout 4 game on high about 10 minutes ago, so temps a higher than normal.

That's why I got the 290X in the first place but I accidentally bought a Sapphire one and it won't go above 70 degrees even under full load.
It's pretty fucking cold in my room and I wish I'd got the reference 290X instead.

Finally moved past 1080p since upgrading from my 22" Viewsonic 1680x1050 like 8 years ago. Got a Dell Ultrasharp 3007WFP 30" 2560x1600 on craigslist from a company that was downsizing and basically giving it away for $120. Looks fantastic in Fallout 4 and Witcher 3.
Weird thing though, if I attached a 2nd monitor my primary video card will rise 20 degrees to the high 60's and stay there, as soon as I disable the 2nd display it lowered 15 degrees.

Yeah but only seems to happen when I started using DVI-D, back when the same cards were driving 2x 1080P displays the primary and crossfired card were always idling within a couple degrees of each other. As soon as I went to the higher res it's like it passed a threshold and simply can't downclock to save power any more.

Reference or 3rd party coolers? I have 2x R9 290 references and damn do they get loud. Crazy powerful, but loud. Also better pray you have a 1kW+ PSU on that. I have a 1000W Gold+ PSU and when I've checked it's not even really overkill, just appropriate wattage with a little breathing room.

Takes the MB around 15-20 seconds to finish whatever it's doing. No clue why. Then 1-2 seconds to login screen. As soon as my password is in, maybe 2 seconds to fully usable.
Haven't noticed much delay with programs, though all I have installed are steam (on the mirrored WD Greens) and Chrome. So I don't have much to say for that. Just set it up yesterday
