There is none.

AMD is poorfag shit that runs at 95 degrees and has no drivers. Also all big games are partners with Nvidia and run better on their cards.

y u no 980ti?

cuz budget

Nvidia is Google, AMD is Yahoo.

Dear OP you are a faggot.
The 970 is overall the best choice, and everybody knows it.
The 970 is still good value for money so just order that shit already.

I will always buy Nvidia™ because I only play games The Way It's Meant to be Played™. Nvidia also pioneers innovative new technologies like PhysX™, Gameworks™ and the highest quality driver to ever grace Windows.
When I boot up with a brand new Nvidia™ Geforce™, I can experience the game just like it's mean to be played. Nvidia™ also delivers a far more silkysmooth experience.
Nvidia Geforce™ is also very power efficient. A graphic card is the most power hungry device in your house. Refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, dish washers, lights, etc all use significantly less power than a graphic card. Which is why Nvidia™ puts gamers first by ensuring that their gaming experience is of the highest quality while looking out for gamers by giving them the most value in their electrical bill.
At this point in time, there's really no reasons to consider an AMD graphic card at all. I tried one one time, it caused so much heat that it exploded. It also consumed so much power that it gave on an EMP and destroyed the rest of my computer.
Nvidia™ also pioneered how useless GPGPU is with CUDA™. Years ago, everyone thought GPGPU, CUDA™, and OpenCL were the future. Now, Nvidia™ has removed those useless features from their GPUs and increased efficiency. Now you can save thousands a year in electricity thanks to Nvidia™ ensuring that useless features like GPGPU are "optimized" for gamers.
It's quite clear that OP's an AMD shill trying to convince you to settle on something less than The Way It's Mean to be Played™. Nvidia™ is the only real way to play games. We have seen recently that they offer incredible libraries for software developers like Nvidia Gameworks. He is probably too poor to afford the Nvidia Geforce Experience and can not afford to play any games The Way It's Mean To be Played™.
Don't be a poor gamer with bad drivers and a huge power bill. Play games with the Geforce™ Experience™: The Way It's Mean To Be Played™

Linux gaming.

Tell me what I can't do on linux that 95% of user need to be able to do.
>>
>>51407147
if you want to run gameworks games with little to no tinkering right out of the box

if you can find one used for under 250

that's about it.
>>
I'll give you a reason to prefer not buying the 900 series cards and instead buying next year:
No HBM.

>used
It would be slightly shittier though.
>>
>>51407846
how?
>>
>>51407900
Because it's been used and stuff.
>>
You can buy one now and then buy a second one for pocketchange after nvidia drops the 1000 line.

Play Fallout 4.

if you own 2 monitor setup and you live in country where kWh is not 10-15 cents but ~40 cents...

and you run your machine for something nearing 24/7/365

its really better to go for something with lower power consumption,
But if you got extra $, the fury non-x has same low power consumption, well thats the beauty of that new vram, while 390 has 8GB vram which increases idle, dual monitor power consumption even over 290

thats about it
with single monitor I would go for 390, there the idle power consumption is identical and load is not that important unless you are like seriously fucked up in the head and game 12+ hours a day, every day

>>51407963
>need
I use linux on my laptop, which is where I do everything that's not gaming. Most gamers use consoles, and the ones that don't are going to use a desktop PC if they're not retarded.

>then buy a second one for pocketchange after nvidia drops the 1000 line.
i've seen the opposite happen. When stock of older card start to dwindle vendors tend to hold their prices. when the new shit comes out they know that folks will try to get the past gen on the cheap and will by it as long as it's at least 10 bucks under msrp. Look at the 290 for example. non reference ones are still going for 290 when 390's can go as low as 280 depending on the sale
>>
>>51408050
cool so It'd be cheaper for me to just pick up two 1000s and then call it a day
>>
>>51408145
that will probably be your best bet. Go balls deep into a new top of line flagship card/s and milk it for as long as you can while saving money for the new top of the line flagship 2-3 gen later.
