I use Mega because it lets me sync folders, not so much for Google/One drive.

google gives you more free space, but that interface is so trashy.
I found dropbox to have the best user experience but value wasn't there.
You can get a office 365 licence + 1tb one drive for less than Dropbox offers.

I have 15gb free storage and 15gb camera roll bonus (?) which was probably grandfathered from skydrive.

If you are the only one editing the document, then that's fine, it'll basically be a backup. If you have someone else editing it either in the desktop application or through Word online, prepare for frustration. Much more issues with online, however. So if you must, make sure everyone uses desktop Word.

I deal with law firms and people who are in the health care business. Data privacy is a must, and in Canada, the only way your data can be accessed is if you violate a law. I'm a national account manager for a cloud backup provider who is holds a PCI DCC, and is PIPEDA and HIPAA compliant, with multi-certified data centers. 256bit AES encryption locally, transported over SSL and never leaving the borders, and once again encrypted once it reaches the cloud.
But I suppose if you're just an end-user, it doesn't really make a difference, and the price-jump wouldn't really be worth it; American-based hosting is much cheaper.
