iirc its gpu synthetic benchmarks not cpu.
ipad pro is using apples new graphics metal api which is similar to dx12 / vulkan. for mobile devices like a tablet it can really increase performance.
surface pro 4 is using classic shitty bangbang dx11 most likely and the other intel macs are most likely using apples older shitty opengl implantation which is really downright shitty. from lacking full opengl support to using drivers that are incredibly unoptimized.
