Get some dummy terminators for the slots, and mask everything off carefully. Use some Krylon Fusion or other paint for plastics and hard to stick surfaces like glass. Only worry would be the spray paint's base maybe effecting the plastic.
Paint it whatever wacky colors you want, even use a UV reactive coat.

Motherboards these days are basically black green red, blue and gold, result of fucking reviewers calling for black PCBs for their edgy dark as my soul shit.

Lord Gaben is trying to do that but for the most part its only Blizzard, Riot and DICE who work for the PC audience, so as long as those are in biz PC gaming is gonna stay alive. + indie devs of course.

All boards are gaming compatible in one way or another but if you look past the recommended page of pc part stores and /g/ shitting threads you will notice that there are still many boards out there who are not targeted at gaming.
My current PC uses a Asus H97M-E board and 90% of its box marketing is about durability, quality, reliability and performance. It only has at the lower back of the bottom where it says "From Gaming to Multimedia" and thats it.
