Is it still fashionable to buy Sony Super-fine Pitch Trinitron CRTs for gaming?
Pic related. Just found this in craigslist. Asking price is just 100 bux. The guy selling it said It has very low hours and was relegated to guest room(s) of the house
Also, word on the internets is that the Super-fine Pitch based Trinitrons gave 3-dimensional depth when watching content with it.

This would be nice for 480p-1080i prehdmi gaming. Ps2 gamecube original xbox thats about it. Anything older is better played on a non hd crt. And anything newer is better with hdmi

I'm gonna check tomorrow if the guy is being truthful about very low hours with the service menu.
If the tube has less than 5000 hours it should still run circles around LED/LED tv's in quality (color, contrast) and lag time.

Stick to hdmi on an lcd/plasma because you cant get 1080p 60fps on any consumer crt that i know of. And you get alot of input lag from scaling but if u have a 1080p tv there is no scaling so shouldnt be much if any lag.
Remember you can't really fix shitty convergence. If it's bleeding colors it's garbage.
