Web designer here. How does one have your favicon display on every single page on your site?
My example is imgur with their favicon still displaying when you upload a photo and share the link. Screenshot example posted.

hmm, perhaps it's a chrome thing
heres another example, when you copy the image url from any site on 4chan:

Just upload your favicon to your root folder

funny enough i had that idea after doing the research. so i did. still nothing. perhaps i need to wait for the cache to reset
put the .ico in the root of the hosted folder

Did you clear your browser's cache, websites rarely update favicons and a lot of browsers will not refresh it even with F5, you have to either do shift+ctrl+F5 or something, or clear out the browser's cache manually

If you're using cloudflare or any other server sided cache you might also wanna clear that
