OS X was always the toy OS (that can't play games ironically) and the few redeeming qualities that it had Microsoft are stealing anyway (notifications, etc). Windows is the obvious choice for the productivity or power user. I'm still shocked at how bad maximising and snapping windows is on OS X.
Hardware is hardware, it's not unique to OS X or Windows PCs - you'll find varying designs and build quality depending on how much you want to pay.

Most pleb users expect to be able to download all the basic apps everyone else uses and for them to work without lag/crashes. If the phone first meets this baseline expectation, we can then look at camera quality, speed/loading times, etc, and then further on stuff like display density and resolution.
That's if you want 99% of users to be satisfied. Yes a significant portion will be satisfied with just that baseline expectation that *some* $100 chinkphones might achieve, but I did say 99%.

The Atom you mention in the Surface 3, as well as the ULP Core i5 in the Surface Pro 4 are actually less powerful than the A9X in the iPad Pro.
Hasn't been confirmed yet, but as the A8X was actually a triple core processor, we can safely assume the A9X is at least another triple core, possibly even a quad core.

For example when you draw with pen and paper and let's say you have to fill a form or do the shadows or whatever, you instinctively tilt the pen so you get more surface and do less work to fill it. But considering we are talking about digital painting you can press a fuckign button and with a stroke you fill the fucking universe.

There is no support for Micro SD. Seriously, that sucks. I can understand that for the normal iPad, but the pro is meant for some production, and I cannot tolerate having no Micro SD so that I can extend storage to the SD card. Any notion of using cloud storage for 4k24fps is outright laughable at it is. The bandwidth is just too costly for most consumer to justify and even a 10GB plan would be wholly incapable of sustaining cloud storage on it.
