Well that was shit.
Had this thing for about a week before I realized all the problems I was currently having was because of the update. RAM usage up the ass, webpages loading forever, videos skipping and the overall UI constantly freezing.
Complete blunder, had to revert back to 41.0.2 which coincidentally fixed the problems I was having. How did they fuck this up?
>>
Just use Chrome, goy.
>>
>>51281813
I'm fine for now, currently using the older version. I don't know why I fell off Chrome, but I don't feel comfortable using it anymore.

I feel the memory leak strong in this one.
>>
>>51282025
If 900MB is alot of RAM usage for you then it's time to upgrade from that 4.
>>
>webpages loading forever
this only happens to me with 4chan everything else is fine
>>
>>51281765
Did you report the issue so firefox can fix it?
>>
>>51282078
Why only 900MB? Why not 9000???
>>
>>51282078
OP here, I swear to god I was at 2000MB before I decided to uninstall. It's freaking crazy.
>>
>>51282151
No. I just reverted back to the old version.
>>
So what Browser should i use, since mozilla consumes my ram?
>>
>>51283067
Chrome :^)
>>
Firemin.exe reduces mem usage. Firefox isnt actually using all that memory only reserving it.
>>
I want muh VIMPERATOR keybindings back, shits been broke since the last few updates, they are slow as fuck to update it.
Pentadactyl fellows don't even give a shit anymore these days.

Edge master race soon
>>
>>51285258
Once Edge has support for addons it'll definitely be my main browser. It's the best looking by far and very fast. Plus it has the best support for windows 10
>>
Only 300mb here and i have around 10 addons installed

did you try with extensions disabled
>>
>>51282025
Why are you still using the 32bits build when FF42 has a 64bits one?
>>
>>51281765
>>51282025
Press ALT > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Refresh Firefox
If that doesn't work, uninstall it and delete it's profile, install the 64 bits version

Starting with v42 they have done something about h/w acceleration. It seems like everythig is using it and somehow individually. I noticed that certain youtube videos don't play well. This one stutters like hell on 1080p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-ORhEE9VVg yet it worked just fine with Fx 41. Other videos work fie though, just some of them have issues.

Does fireshit have multi core rendering yet?

Come back to me when it does till then I'll make put with chromium which does.
>>
>>51285444
When it supports the same things gecko does
>>
>>51285495
like every other piece of modern s/w. it will probably be a resource hogging piece of shit.
>>
>>51285518
You sound like you don't want a browser written in glorious JavaScript anon.
>>
>>51285512
>Come back to me when it does till then I'll make put with chromium which does.
one process can take only up to one thread in chromium, that's not multithreadding.

and yes, firefox does benefit of multithreading, however i have never seen it using more that 2 at any given time.

From what I have seen which isn't a lot Firefox are struggling to get Firefox to multi core like it should. They keep saying its coming releasing broken beta's.

I don't want Firefox to die but they need to get their shit together for that not to happen. It isn't going to survive becoming obscure.

So you're saying if I use the 64 bit version, the problems listed in the OP will stop? Cause that memory leak was annoying.
>>
>>51285296

it won't be fast with addons

don't forget that
>>
>>51281765
And this is why I wait a while until it's fixed before I update browsers.

pretty sure that's a VP9 problem. seems to be working fine with media.mediasource.webm.enabled set to false
>>
>>51286724
And in the interim, you're using a browser with known, unpatched vulnerabilities. Sounds awesome.

JustWerkz for me. It was so blazing fast I had actually originally thought it had installed the 64 bit version automatically. It hadn't. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the 64 bit version anyways, but not because of any issue.
>>
>>51287184
Autism isn't retardation anon.
>>
I've had heaps of stuttering while scrolling recently.
I have hardware accel on and smooth scrolling off. I usually middle click my mouse to scroll. It use to be nice and smooth but now it stutters.
>>
>>51285805
well the memory leak isn't noticable to me anymore.
It used to be that pages wouldn't load properly/be blank etc when at 3.x
now it can safely go to 6.5 and I haven't had any chance of seeing it go higher than that. It's currently on 3.5
But like I said, it's 40 fucking bucks. You can complain about memory leaks or just pay 40 bucks for the next decade.

Firefox is not bad! So stop saying it!!!

im using firefox 28

the problem is mozilla has been taken over by feminazis, beta orbiters and SJWs in general, they couldnt code their way out of a wet paper bag

move to a fork, its the only solution, aside from giving up your privacy to jewgle

fuck off, the infestation of SJWs in the tech industry is very much a /g/-related issue, to deny that is to display ignorance

please keep the s-word to yourself. /g/ is a safe space for discussing tech. it's 2015 come on
>>
It crashes with 3-4 tabs open. It crashes so much that I moved to chrome. This wasn't happening before.
