Now we have 3 or 4 new boards, When we will have a programming/compSci board, i'm getting sick from gadget/shill threads
Won't happen.

I think a general engineering board would probably be better served.
It would filter out a lot of people from /sci/ and here who actually want to make or design stuff but yeah it's probably not happening.

I come here for shit like /sqt/ and other things like that, and I think it would be great if there were a separate programming/compsci board. Programming threads are of no interest for me.

>i want 4chin to cater to what i consider tech
fuck off

>implying it wouldn't be all over with "my language is better than yours" threads

Least intelligent comment all day.
>>51281467
That sounds like a good idea to me. Lets complain about it on /qa/ until Hiroshima caves.
>>51281467
>genetic programming
>relevant in the past 40 years
This is the exact kind of shit that does NOT belong on a real technology board.
>>51281467
Maybe we can get new moot to bring back /prog/?
>>51281486
/diy is pretty good.
>>51281804
Yeah I was thinking that but I just think it's so centered around home improvement and stuff like that.
IIRC there is /eng/ on another chan and it's much more like reddit's engineering board where some people ask questions but it's a lot of news and how to solve a certain problem on a computer.
>>51281467
You already have science where you can talk about algos or formulas
I'd like to open a "beautiful formula" thread and post things like pic related (I made it with scilab and gimp)
>>51281721
>impling
>>51281467
Or simply filter autism like anime and gadget threads
>>51282352
Implying what? That's exactly how it is.
>>51282397
There is no better AI technique for optimization a solution.
>>51282490
Except literally all of them, you mean.
