What's the Linux equivalent of foobar2k?
>>51280757
Bumping for interest.
I currently use Audacity on Ubuntu, but I miss foobar2k on winblows.
Foobnix
A vm running windows with foobar2k

>using a VM instead of wine
For god sake, why?
>>51280757
Deadbeef or cmus
ncmpccp w/mpd
http://deadbeef.sourceforge.net/
If you want foobar2k why not just foobar2k in wine. It runs flawless.

gmusicbrowser?
(though it doesnt support Opus, which huge chunks of my music is encoded in)
There are a bunch of Linux media players though, so whatever your fb2k config, there's likely one media player that you'lll be confortable with.

>he encodes his music with opus

Hook me up with some foobar skins, bros
I'm looking for something utilitarian with lots of information and cool looking, no 2mnmlst4u bullshit.

Quod Libet/Ex falso
>muh foobar
One of the most overrated programs ever.
What is the reason foobar is not ported linux?
>>51284871
It probably depends on disgusting Windows APIs.
>>51281680
What are the advantages of opus over mp3 or flac?
>>51280882
This.
Obtain nirvana.
>>51285063
>Opus vs mp3
Better tagging, opus respects your freedoms, and far more efficient
>opus vs flac
It's basically just a matter of lossy vs lossless
>>51284346
So you like staring at what equates to a full-screen DOS prompt all day?

moc is also bretty gud
>>51285808
This man speaks the truth.
Indeed, DeaDBeeF is linux's foobar clone, I used foobar on windows and was getting desperate as I couldn't find an equivalent on linux. When I found DeaDBeeF, everything fell into place.
In the meantime I used moc, which suited me just fine as well.
>>51280757
None, Deadbeef tries too hard to be something similar.
>>51280757
Foobar2k works perfectly on wine.
>>51280847
