considering getting these, what does /g/ think? do they have them?
speakers don't really matter imo
all about headphones
i have logitech z313's but they're sitting in the corner of my room collecting dust. sounds like speakers
The Klipsch 2.1 system is nice and reasonably priced.
Or just get a pair of Mackie CR4 if you want monitors
friend has these and they are pretty good but im sure you can find better if you go for an actual audio company not corsair
>>51270204
b-b-but muh corsair!
>>51268841
I have some old xboxhueg vintage ones and they work just fine
>>51268923
Headphones are nice but imo they can't beat a good speaker setup. For example, deep bass is so much more impressive when you can actually feel it as your room resonates with the subwoofer.
I have the 2:1 logitech z623s and for $150 it was well worth the money. Great sound quality and bass imo for the price
>>51268923
nigger OP asked about speakers, not you plastic shitty treblecannons.
OP's always a faggot but seemingly he doesn't live a shitty apartment with shitty drywall walls so he could actually play music like its meant meant to be played back
>>51268841
Pricerange?
size?
Country?
etc.
>>51270378
Bass is overrated.
>>51270842
It takes a special kind of stupid to post this shit.
>>51270877

>>51270898
If only you got dubs, like me.
>>51270842
Well, fuck you too.
>>51268841
Meh they're probably fine. I seem to recall they were considered competitive with the Klipsch 2.1 set in reviews. Corsair customer service is pretty highly-rated too.
That said, there's no real point in buying a computer-specific speaker system. Just buy a normal speaker system with separate receiver, subwoofer and speakers. Your system will be much more flexible and a better overall value.
to be honest
>>51268841
Buy something from an actual, respectable audio company.
>>51271661
But where do my banana plugs go?
/g/ only accepts true technological speakers. Get those open-loop abominations out of here.
>>51271765
In your butt, silly
if you don't have this, you're delusional
>>51271821
top kef
>>51271785
d*ng, would listen to vaporwave on
>>51271785
That's some Braun-tier design there
>>51271842
Why does /g/ hate these so much? I'm actually considering them, and the reviews seem really favorable.
>>51268841
Anything but gaymen speakers.
If you want good sound and quality be prepare for at least a $300 investment.
Anything below that is shit tier
>sub $250
go on craigslist and buy the first pair of speakers that isn't rotted to shit or covered in feces
>$250-500
something Klipsch reference or Wharfedale, they're all pretty solid
>$500 and up
don't take advice from a cambodian rice farming bulletin board
>>51272275
"I really like how these look and I'm trying to find opinions to support my purchase of them"
They do look nice though, desu.
>>51268841
I have these, they are great but I don't use them much as I mainly sit quietly with my headset on. Is great when you have friends round and wanna play some racing games, though!
>>51272275
are the a3's worth getting or are the a5's that much better?
>>51272572
>a3's
I guess you mean A2's.
I have the A2+, there's quite a difference of power, and reviews says that the A5's have a better low frequency (bass) response than the A2+.
If space is an issue you should get the A2+, since they are quite small (look for the measure compared to the A5) The A5's are bookshelf style while the A2+ were designed to use on a desktop.
Although, the A2+ can get really loud, A5's, according to the reviews, could be used for a party or something like that.
>>51272723
i meant a2 and thanks for the info
Op go get a cheap amp like:
http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-LP-2020A-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0049P6OTI
Get some cheap speaker wire from your local hardware store
Get some banana plugs (cheap ones)
Then get the absolutely amazing micca MB42 bookshelf speakers:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009IUIV4A/ref=pd_aw_sim_23_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1TGX48Z3YAZV07ZMT7EB
Or the upgrade MB42x speakers
They are your best option
....Pasting from what I read a while back
Check tek syndicate's youtube channel. He made a video on the best speakers for different price ranges
>>51271821
Your delusional, enjoy your SCREEECH
>>51273291
His opinion is as noteworthy as a blindman picking out color.
he fucking said audio engine and monoprice are good
>>51271661
>m'audio trash
no
>>51271821
nice man pic related
>>51268923
Ignore this faggot OP.
oh man:
do not ever buy speakers made by or rebranded for computer companies.
the lepai 2020a is a terrible amplifier that clips at even low volumes; it's a defective design.
the micca MB42 is not amazing, it's not even good for it's price. dayton b652s are superior and $20 cheaper.
audioengine A2s and A5s are great for the constraints of their design, but its the same severely dated design monitors have used for decades. they are not worth $250 and $400. /g/ hates them because they're the same shit as all the other self-powered monitors, but priced sky-high to create the impression of exclusivity.
precious few speakers (properly) incorporate the fresh psychoacoustic research of the past decade. the only ones that do AND fit into the price range we're interested in are the JBL LSR305s and the behringer truth 2030A (and sister designs). alesis elevate 5 might be worth considering, though hell if i can find any measurements of it.
>>51268841
>>/trash/
>>51275544
pls elaborate on that psychoacoustic research
>>51272275
buy them at a good price and you won't be disappointed.
