could that setup play GTAV 1080 mostly high settings? I just spent £900 on a build and though I'm happy with my performance I cant help but think I coulda got what I wanted cheaper

I guess you could have some sort of buyers regret, most people tend to have that after big purchases. Chances are your money could have stretched a bit further, but depending on local pricing you probably got a decent computer for the money.

I think its half regret, I got i5 6600, 8Gb DDR4, SSD, and a 390, new case + quality PSU + Motherboard....I was torn between knocking up a budget build and waiting for Zen or going all out....im very happy with my performance, I don't benchmark or anything but this machine flies, I love it, but its the first intel chip I ever bought, always had AMD in the past, feel like ive let my side down :(

Well desu whylake is kinda meme tier, the performance is about the same as haslel but more money and higher tdp. I would have gone with a lower end haswell cpu and maybe a 980.
