People tend to dismiss them outright for some reason, but torrents are really good for end to end data transfer. Some of the popular clients have built in trackers that make it piss easy to set up. It supports encryption, as many files as you want and it's all done in chunks so it's not going to randomly fail halfway through transfer.

The only potential downside I can think of is if you have a crap ISP that throttles torrent traffic or something.
