Hey /g/, what's the best program for getting files from my phone to my computer and vice versa? Preferably free.
drag and drop
If the files are small enough, just email them. Otherwise, use your usb cable to move the files directly, or an SD card or other compatible removable media.

>/g/ does trust a private company that sends all of your data through their own servers
FFS just use Drive or Dropbox
>>51249902
phones are shit and don't allow this for some reason
then want you to use cloud BS
should be easy enough with SMB but it aint
Google Drive
>inb4 botnet
>>51250045
I second this!
>>51250080
Drive and dropbox are awful. There's no way to conveniently and non-botnetly transfer files from phone to computer, so you have to use
PUSHBULLET
OP, I enjoy Dropbox or Google Drive for that kind of thing.

does push bullet respect my freedom?

Of course not. Just bend over and take it.

Plug phone into computer, literally will ask you to view files on device, find files, drag to desktop
>plug phone into computer or connect via bluetooth
>wait for dialog to open
>drag & drop files as needed

If I just want to sent a picture to my mobile/pc (and when the quality doesn't matter) then I sent it to myself with WhatsApp. That's really fast. Otherwise, Dropbox works better for me than other programs like Airdrop. These things work just fine for me, but everybody has their opinion on it.
My setup isn't great but it's faster than using a cloud service if you have slow internet.
>Old android phone on same network
>Use an FTP server app
In other words just set up an FTP server.
es file explorer
its a botnet

Dropbox.
I'm actually pretty happy with it:
>automatically copies my camera pictures and videos every time I'm on my home network
>easily share ebooks between devices, open them in Adobe Reader from the Dropbox app (more for my tablet than phone)
For everything else, I use ES File Explorer.

How have you guys not heard of KDE Connect?
No, you don't need to use Plasma to use KDE Connect
Why the fuck can't you guys just connect the two through USB and transfer files? What retarded phone and/or OS are you using? How do you justify paying for that shit?
