Installed a fresh copy of mint and just added a bunch of tools like sqlmap, mono and zenmap. Feeln somewhat productive so far. Also got playonlinux setup for league.

Wine will run anything DX9 nearly perfectly with minor work. You don't actually need POL or the other paid bullshit.

Install the new source mage, it has many technical superiorities over Gentoo. Plus your patches will get accepted in a few hours, not after a few months.
Or if you want, follow Gentoo's inspiration, FreeBSD. (i think, or was it CRUX...)
