am i the only person who things this is a bad idea?
python is a bit of a meh first language.
i know it is a /g/ meme but C is such a nice language to start with. you dont need to become a kernel hacker C guru but learning about memory addresses, how arrays are actually are in memory etc makes things so much easier to understand. after C you can go to pretty much any imperative language.

Is it a bad idea? Maybe learning new stuff is never a bad idea. Maybe python is just a way to noobs like me to start of somewhere simple
Python is a great first-timer language mainly because it's relatively intuitive as far as syntax goes
Apparently it's not that great performance-wise in comparison to other languages, but it's good for learning the basics
