I feel like I'm one of those people who reached an equilibrium and stopped ricing. I reached the point where my rice has become so luckily satisfying any attempt to improve it has just managed to make it worse.
I haven't riced in, well, forever. I miss the times when I would be enthusiastic about desktop threads. Someone I know said "desktop threads have outlived their usefulness for you". I miss when I actually had something new to show everyone regularly. I miss the time when I didn't know how to use ncmpcpp. I miss when I would actually TALK ABOUT RICE.
I miss the time when my "friends" were enthusiastic about it, too. Most of the ricers from when I started have moved on, as well.
It's just one of the fun things you lose and can't take back. Just another one of them.
