Thank you. You cut it down more than half the original filesize and it still looks great.
You are very good at this.

I could not help noticing your png was not optimized.

PNGOut, PNGSlim, OptiPNG, PNGCrush
Probably one of those methods.

Your images crash the image decoder in Android (Clover crashes).

ITT:elite computer operators
OP are you editing the PNGs in vim and just removing random shit in the text representation, and then hoping the image doesn't corrupt? Because that's the only way to explain this magic
OMG OP can into using a command line tool
he must be such an 1337 h4xx0r
>>46818450
No, this is 100% lossless, the decoded bitmaps are identical

Thank you! it doesn't look any different, how did you do that? I made that .png out of a .jpg at "max" compression in GIMP...
Is this a new proprietary .png compression algo? Pretty cool.

You... you turned it into a .webm with only 8kbs.. how...??? It also looks much worse...

That's how video works. It removes a lot of redundant information in video. In a single image, that information isn't actually redundant.

Here.
Still, I don't understand how OP can do better. Must be PNGOUT or something proprietary.

Why do you guys care so much how he does it? It seems like everyone on here just wants to learn the magician's secret, so that his work can be undervalued and everyone can compress PNGs just like him. The point is that if we don't know how he does it, it makes it seem magical and great. There is so much mysticism in the technology world with softwares that people don't understand, but everyone just wants to shed light on it and ruin that.
I honestly think its a kind of communism-lite idea brought on by the free software movement. People who use only open-source software, they might not have malware or botnets to deal with, but they will never dream. they will never know the nostalgic feeling of discovering the ins and outs of how a program works, or finding a secret easter egg and keeping it to a limited group of friends and impressing everyone else with it. They think they are the masters of their software, but they are masters of a glass box with everything revealed, they don't understand exactly what the point of not understanding the software is.
You, OP, are a cool person and I hope you keep compressing PNGs and blowing people the fuck out .
Software having backdoors and shit is an entirely separate issue btw, but the point remains that when everyone understands how something is done, it devalues those who found out first, and that's honestly pretty sad. What's the point of doing anything special when it can just be copied from someone pressing a button? Do you really want a society like that?
>>46822210
Do you have any mental issues?
>>46822029
>>46822210
You know what, youre right. Linux users have the source handed to them, that isn't hardcore, that's the epitome of a casual. They didn't have to figure out anything or do any reverse engineering themselves.
>>46822252
Incredible, you guys have nearly reduced its size by 200KB, this is amazing. I can post this on some websites I couldn't before. If anyone needed an argument for competition vs monopoly, here you go.
>>46822303
Not exactly. They used a lossy method (pngquant) to compress it, and I all I did was compress it again.
The images I post are always identical to the one I reply to, even if the person I reply to didn't post an identical image.

I just tried that too.
Fucking new moot.
>>46822613
It sounds like a default branching condition in 4chan software. 4chan doesn't understand this specific file so it assumes to be an image with an embedded file.

Make, or find, your own way to compress.

I already have, but they aren't as optimal. Are you not paying attention?

Fujitsu is the brand for you.
The t902 is legendary but the screen resolution isn't great.
The T935 is really good if you're into decent battery life, wacom digitizers, 1440p IGZO displays and thin metal uni-bodies.
Do it goy

Why isn't there a more efficient picture compression method in wide use right now?
There is Jpeg2000 for example. Why did these concepts of creating a better/more advanced version of JPEG all die?
>>46823999
Pretty sure pomf is going to go down soon. The dev's not taking in enough donations to keep it up and fags keep abusing of the service.
