MP3 support can be install from RPM Fusion.

Just installed a minimal Debian on a vm and everytime I open a terminal its the same white background with black font no matter how I edit xresources its still the same, but when I call xterm it shows the color changes but new terminals still launch all white.
Pls respond the contrast is frying my eyes.

i mean the iconset specifically (obviously, you're using the finder icon) but yeah, gnome in general, KDE color-scheme wise and ubuntu. unity is arguably a dock ripoff with iOS elements mixed in. which is cool, but they could at least add some functionality. get creative.
i used to run linux exclusively but i got frustrated. too many devs and too little people who know anything about UIX. or maybe they don't let them call the shots because it makes the devs feel unappreciated. there's a lot of good ideas in the community but there's no vision, and i know that's a shitty marketing buzzword, but it has it's place. if there's no red thread and noone making sure things are at least halfway consistent linux will never have any sort of marketshare. idk if the community cares but canonical sure does. they should get their shit straight and deliver for a niche target audience that they can win over; probably web devs, server admins, something like that.
taking unity and departing from gnome was a strong move and i respect that, but they did fuck all with it, it's a dock with about the functionality of AWN. it's shit
really disappointed with ubuntu / canonical. things got better and better and then they stalled.
