What's a good USB wifi adapter? N is as much as I need, I'd honestly be happy with less. The last one I got was a TP-Link which despite good reviews elsewhere was not a stellar product.
This time i'd like a usb adaptor, preferably a small one like pic. I'm afraid the smaller ones are gonna have flaky reception though. Can anyone recommend a solid one? With hopefully great Windows 7 drivers. Linux compat is a plus but that's not it's purpose for right now.

those small ones without antennas have shit range

I noticed some of the small ones have a screw in antenna. That's kinda what I'm looking for, could you recommend a good brand or even model?
Net gear a6200. Or something like that. Ac connectivity, I get 7mb/s download on steam. About 50 USD.
Not USB but I have an Asus AC68 which is absolutely based. Over 5GHz my comp is 30 feet away from router (house was prewired and I'm renting), but I'm only down 3mbps from a hard wired connection. 2.4GHz is a little slower but not by much.
It's expensive but you could maybe find one on Ebay. I bought because I was tired of fucking around with cheap adapters and shitty results.

>only 3mbps
I should add that I get 92mbps wired and 85-90ish over 5GHz from that distance.
Try looking at the Alfa Networks brand stuff, they are very popular for their range and linux/windows support, be weary of buying counterfeit ones though.
ALFA AWUS036AC is what I'm using now and it's pretty awesome.
Fuck just paid for one of those in OPs pic to use with rpi, is it reliable for say 10m with a wall in between?

Is which frequency clearly labeled at the ports? I have a cantenna I would rather use for my 2.45 reception

The three antennae connections are just for the external antennae. They're not for different frequencies. It just picks both up and you choose whichever you wanna use.
Asus anything

that card while tempting is way too expensive
you can buy an excellent power line setup for less money and achieve the same results
D-Link DWA-171
Works like a charm, and AC able.

Do you know if there're any IDE to PCI-E for rPi? I'd like to use this adapter, though I can't find any module good to use on a rPi.
