My $400 Chromebook's tegra K1 has no problem pushing 1080p with no slowdown and 11 hours of battery life under Linux. Meanwhile, $1000 macfags have to run their monitors at 1080p, not the actual resolution to avoid slowdown and battery life issues on their facebook machines.

Just got it so I've been screwing around with the look constantly. In the end I went for functionality over design, gave it a categorized app drawer and made the dock scrollable through the same set of categories. I think it turned out okay.

It's a pretty good looking home screen. I suggest you to do something about the status bar, the shadow looks a bit off and the text is barely visible. Change the status bar icons and text color to black and remove the shadow.
