Opinion: Cheap, gets the job done. One has sort of minimal backlight bleed (left one), the right has really bad backlight bleed. It's not really noticesable when you're doing every day stuff, but turn on a movie or have a black background and your eyes will bleed. No dead pixels, wobbly stand, some QC issues like the top of the right one looks like it blew open and there's a sizable dent pushing outwards. I could take pics if you want.
I got them for $290 USD each so I'm fairly impressed so far. I've owned the monitors for like 8 months. 7/10 -1 cause they weren't white.

This keyboard in my opinion is miles better.
It has black alps switches which require a lot of weight to press down and offer a good bit of resistance for your fingers.
If you are heavy handed like me its the best keyboard available arguably.
Imagine the keyboard on a T60 if they keys where full size keyboard keys with full size keyboard depth.

I have a wooden desk, and my keyboard (SS 6Gv2) isn't sticking as well to it as I'd wish, and when I type the already infernal noise seems to reverberate from the desktop. Would it be too tasteless to get a plain black "gaming surface" mousepad to put under the keyboard to keep it in place and hopefully dampen the noise a bit, while also leaving me with some area to use as a plain mousepad?
I currently have my eye on the QPad UC-90, which is 90x42 cm (pic related).
If you feel like it's necessary, I'll post pictures of the desk in question as well.

Case gets very good airflow, the back is wide open on both sides and holes in the back of the cabinet itself. I'm running an OC Haswell and I idle under 30C and under heavy load I never go past 55 on NHD14.

There's no jobs anywhere except chinese factories for that kind of skill, as I learned through bitter experience. It's fun though, and if you get decent at it you can even build synthesizers, drum machines, and hifi equipment, as well as radios, and sell them for small amounts of profit. It's like crafting in skyrim, except you get burns instead of skill points and you will smell like flux for hours afterwards.
If you're not interested though, that's fine; I just liked the functional look your desk has and would have picked you for someone who enjoys such things.

Is it temperature controlled? Don't even bother trying to do electronics with an uncontrolled iron; you'll either be wrestling with half-melted solder or burning up your traces. A lot of people will tell you not to fuck with anything but the weller stations, but I've been using a chinese one with no problems except having to replace the heater once.

Set the monitor brightness to the lowest and put one light behind you, not directly pointed at the subject you are trying to photograph. Try to scatter it.
Use low as possible ISO, tripod, timed shutter, expose enough to get detail out of the blacks without completely burning the whites(computer displays in this case). Shoot in RAW, edit in Lightroom by dragging up the shadows and lowering the highlights. Add a bit of clarity, mess around with the white balance, resize, add some 0.5px sharpening.
