I actually use all 3 operating systems regularly. I have been using macbooks for the 3rd year in a row now daily as education-assigned laptops. Using a pretty shmick air this year. I use linux at home as my day-to-day os, occasionally go in to my xp dual boot if i want to play a game or something.
A mac laptop is the only apple machine I would consider buying. I wouldn't say their superior but theyre pretty nice to use. I love going through a full day of use and having 85% of charge left, and a really good trackpad to use.
apple desktops are shit for obvious reasons. iphones are okay for old people, shit for many people.
but in a perfect world id have a lenovo laptop with a lightweight linux distro installed.

You should never believe anything anyone says on here. Every. Because everyone drives a bugatti and dates super models. That said, I actually have 10 years experience in operations, doing Unix and Linux administration. I moved on since then.
The best server OS back then, is still the best server OS now.. at least most robust. Look, I love Linux. I'm running it right now..and it has come a LONG way. My RHEL 7 system are really impressive. Still.. Solaris is (probably) the most robust Unix server money can buy. Period. Linux still hasn't caught all the way up in many areas.

Have hardware that's OS X compatible now and I'm thinking about installing OS X on here instead of Ubuntu just for the slight increase in game compatibility. The only problem is I can't seem to get a working VM in Ubuntu 14.04 to make an OS X install USB with Clover.
