You only really need 980x2 if you're gaming at 4k. Dont bother with the $1000 cpu, the 5920k or 4770k will work.

Yes actually I've gotten it up to 2560x1920 @ 113hz. The problem is that the monitor needs to be focused and I haven't gotten around to opening and adjusting the monitor, so I can run it at a high resolution but its quite blurred.

They've been great. I'd tried a 144hz panel prior to getting those and I have to say... Image quality to me is just more important.
Besides now I have the TV which I can run at 1080/120hz for racing sims etc if I really wanted to.

I'm planning an upgrade at some point, but there's so much shit to choose from.
I really like the look of ELAC's BS 263, but they're pretty expensive.
At least it shouldn't be more than a couple of months until I move out of this place.
