The genius was Wozniak. He just figured out how to give an Apple a pretty dress and sell it for a higher price.
>>
>>44433686
>implying that pretty dress isn't the most important aspect of apples success today

Wozniak is THE guy behind Apple, inc.

C primer plus is great for newbz, but if you really want to take a huge bite read K&R
>>
>>44433614
Wouldn't that book be industrial design reading?

>>44434623
Think Python.

>>44435578
I read C Primer Plus and then K&R. Good way to go IMO.
>>
>>44435578
Thanks

Thanks
>>
>>44435578
Primer plus is shit, the real deal is C++ primer.
>>
>>44434623
Read Code Complete when you have some programming knowledge.
>>
>>44435610
We're talking about C though, not C++. With C++ the best book is Accelerated C++ anyway, unless you are a real beginner. Then it's C++ Primer (NOT Plus), as you say.

I liked it until the middle to end when Greenwald started being an attention whore and shifting the book to be a personal defense piece

Betty Edwards - Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.

Seriously though, drawing helps cultivate focus and fun, two essential elements of a good programmer.

Jobs is a real jew
>>
>>44436961
Or maybe they just want phones/laptops that fuckin work and don't have issues out the box. People are willing to pay a premium for something they know is reliable.

You autists can knock on apple all you want but their products are solid

What is iOS 8.01?

It's just a bunch of books

Totally agree. Not just their user facing products, but their developer facing products.

Developing for iOS has always been much easier than developing for Android, and not just because of fragmentation.

Except if you don't know CS, the jobs you get will probably be some shitty web design jobs that anyone can do. They don't pay as well as proper CS jobs.

Any mathematician can learn to program in a single day and become more useful than your average code monkey who's done nothing but code forms and web UI for 20 years.

Knowing CS is the difference between being a janitor and a CEO, it is literally the difference between heaven and earth. If you don't know CS, no matter how many languages you know, you will never get anywhere.
>>
>>44438917
Seems it went down...
>>
>>44437121
Are these really hard to learn, mathematically speaking? How much pre-knowledge in maths would I need to have?
