10 or 15 years ago, no one used any Apple OS. Nowadays, they have considerable market shares on both mobile and computers OSs. It was only a matter of time until someone wanted a piece of that.
It even came with the bonus that most iOS users actually believe the marketing bullshit of "it can't have viruses", and that most of them are actually retarded, which is the reason most of them buy Macs to begin with.
It's like a bee hive flooding with honey and no bees at all to watch for it. It was only a matter of time until someone realized there were no bees around, and that you could take all the honey you want.
