Even if you count calories and hit the gym but have a depression you could just quit doing everything and bloat up even more and because you're fat you're constantly hating on yourself and fueling your depression even further, which makes you binge eat and bloat up and not only that, high bf percentage also fucks up your brain and hormones which makes you even more depressed.
It's a vicious circle and it takes a hell lot of willpower to get out of it.

Rapid stretching of skin tends to give you stretch marks, I have them along my love handles but I've never been "fat" just kinda chubby. Probably from year 8 when I grew heaps

She also probably neglected to tell us how much butter she put in her eggs or what was in her chicken salad. I caught myself in a fatlogic moment. I've felt like ramen all day and suddenly I found myself looking at sushi and was about to buy $60 dollars worth of sushi, because at least I wasn't eating what I was craving and it was a healthier alternative. Last taxi fair of the night, mr and mrs hamplanet, 5 to 6 hundred pounds between them. Wheezed their way to the car. She got in the back and he got in the front, but not before sliding the seat back like someone who has had to develop a 6th sense for the function in unfamiliar cars.
It was a downhill trip mostly but I charged them double anyway. I would of felt bad if not for him showing 70% of his spotty hairy ass as he got out, and it's MOT time next week and I know I have a suspension issue.

What's funny is it's actually really intuitive why being underweight can be explained by disease, while overweight is not. The processes of digestion, metabolism, etc. can all fuck up and not get the proper amount of nutrition. This is the reason HIV/terminal cancer patients look like holocaust victims, it's not that they're refusing to eat it's just that they're body doesn't want to process the energy for whatever reason. Just like it doesn't matter how much fuel you put in a car, if the engine is dead you're not going anywhere. The opposite however is impossible.
