Inject some air before you inject the test so it'll make room for the needle and hurt less.

This will be my first cycle, so yeah, I'm as newb as it gets.
My problem with the glute is though, that I can't really see where to inject. I checked spotinjections, and from there it seemed that the quads were a bigger area.
How much easier are the glutes?

22 gauge didn't hurt while I didn't hit a vessel, it was a little uncomfortable but nothing like the sudden sharp pain I got

u could go a lil higher toward you pelvis maybe like an inch, did you pull back the plunger to make sure you didnt hit a vein?
its possible you just injected close to a nerve, its just putting pressure on the area causing pain.

Injecting when you get out of the shower helps. Learn to inject yourself in the glutes too, way less pain.

meaning, the outer half of the half closer to your pelvis.
