>last week I did 75kg 5x5 on bench
>77,5 today
>can only get it up for 2 reps
>decide to continue with 75
>only get it up 3 times
>can't even get 70 up for more than 3 on next try

>>
Rest longer and try again
>>
>>37750774
I rest 3-5min between sets, is that not enough?
>>
Eat big this week and try 77.5 again next week.

Alright, thanks for the advice.

>5x5
3 sets is the norm for newbies doing heavy weight. youll progress faster on it and it wont burn you out as hard.

It's not about rest between sets, keep that steady.

What you clearly need is a few days off to rest and recover.

I am following this program, is this generally a good idea?
Will try to adjust bench to 3 working sets

>newbies

Most newbies are nowhere near doing 75x5x5.
>>
>>37750885
current scoopage is 2, should I up to 4 to leave humanity behind?
>>
>>37750893

That depends. How long have you been lifting?

>>37750916

What is your weight? You don't need 4 scoops unless you're a giant or you literally don't consume any other sources of protein.
>>
>>37750916
C'MON

On a serious note, do eat all you fucking can. It was literally the only thing holding me back when the same shit happened a while ago.
>>
>>37750897
Im talking people lifting for a few months, which lifting this weight would be certainly attainable
>>
>>37750893
for new natty lifters frequency is key. Full body workouts work best for this as itll allow you to hit each muscle group 2-3 times a week. You will have to lower the sets you do to conserve strength to make the rest of your workout. Keep it simple and if burning out either eat/rest more or reduce the workload. Also do not go to absolute failure fyi
>>
Same thing is happening to me around 75kg op
>>
>>37750937
How much do you sleep per night? maybe that is my problem, I get 7h per day max
