This. I have a single speed because everyone knows they're worthless so it doesn't get stolen. Plus I just go ham on the hills and get a better workout and I live in a city where I can bike faster than the cars.

I do but I only ride it to go to work if or the gym. I don't find bike riding very enjoyable on its own, and I don't think riding anywhere but city streets with a fixed gear is fun. I love passing huge lines of cars though.
BTW I bought a fixed gear cause its cheap, low maintenance, and I don't need to ride up any hills that require a road bike. I also think they are a lot more fun to ride, and you feel like the bike is an extension of your legs.
