sit ups are a great way to kill your spine

millions of ways to work on abs, why situps?
>>
>>37646869
probably some fitness requirement, like the military

sit ups are fine fatty

literally two studies have said "physically active people who happened to do situps sometimes have back problems" and the media picked up on this and now mouthbreathing retards chant it like a mantra.

I'm not saying you should do only situps, I'm just saying that they are a solid exercise that is unfairly maligned.

you know what really fucks up your spine? Load bearing exercises, load bearing labor, moving furniture.

If you mri the back of anyone who does squats or deadlifts, they will have disc bulges. Minor, not painful or debilitating, but they will be present.

These guys also say, don't deadlift or squat regularly.

/fit/ treats exercise studies like christians treat leviticus, they just pick and chose and ignore shit they don't like
>>
>>37646917
torso rotations, spellcasters, crunches, side bends, and dumbell swings (don't go crazy with it)
