Should pregnant woman lift? Will the bastard come out retarded?
>>37521176
No, it prolly wont hurt the child.
But unborn children tend to press into the abdominal organs and shift around, late term.
And if youre trying to stabilize your core, you'll know how central the abdominals are to supporting your spine, especially for heavy lifts.
Say the baby decides to stretch its legs on the eccentric movement of the squat and you waffle at the bottom. Woopsie! My fucking herniated disc!
But seriously, most people should just deload during the final months and do some mild cardio. Theyll be ok, provided they arent crossfitting scum.
>doing crossfit
retardation is hereditary so it's entirely possible

T-thanks!
most women use pregnancy as an excuse to turn into a whale but I think doctors do recommend light exercise (bw, cardio etc). Since crossfit & oly lifting have the potential to kill the kid they should probably be avoided

not to mention crossfit is even more expensive than an actual abortion.

What's your background?
I wouldn't lift late stage pregnancy, the already rising levels of oestrogen means my ligaments are looser than usual to I'm gonna be unstable as fuck. Lots of pregnant women get major Sacro-iliac joint pain during this time just from picking groceries up, I don't know how lifters would avoid that?

Would exercising while pregnant cause higher testosterone levels in the womb?
>>37523681
No, test in pregnant women is neglect able considering progesterone levels should be high enough to surpress the effects of testosterone.
