I've been trying to get to a basic fitness level with bodyweight exercises in the last month. I have ungodly long and thin arms compared to my torso, and it's driving me crazy. Push-ups are extremely hard for me (can do 10), and pull-ups are almost impossible (can do 4). A couple of years ago, I was at 135 lbs with a similar BF, and I could do around 30 pushups. Basically, I gain mass on my torso a lot more easily than on my arms. This goes for both muscle and fat. My arms are extremely lean and could easily belong to someone with 10% BF, while my torso seems to be around 16-18%. Every time I try to gain mass, I end up as a fat fuck. Has anyone been through a similar situation and can offer any advice?

I know the diagram is bullshit, I was just looking for a semi relevant yet funny pic for OP.

Body type = frame size
Ectomorph: small wrists, long limbs
Mesomorph: medium size wrists, medium size limbs
Endomorph: large wrists, short limbs

All types can become fat, skinny, or muscular. The muscular potential is a bit different. Mesomorph can prolly gain something like 10% more muscle mass than ectomorph, and endomorph can gain another 10% on the meso.

Yes, it's about limb length relative to height and torso.

Ecto = long limbs, thin frame, low muscle mass
Meso = medium limbs, medium thickness frame, medium muscle mass
Endo = short limbs, wide frame, high muscle mass

ie. ecto is the stereotypical endurance runner, meso is the stereotypical swimmer/aesthetic bodybuilder, endo is the stereotypical powerlifter/strongman
