I have a bmi of 24.5 and want to build a good lookong body.My goal is to look good on clothes and be able to go to the beach stress-free.I am going to start going to the gym by the 7th of June and I am certain that I will be able to go everyday.I wish to know how mich time will I need to reach my goal,what diet I should follow and what exactly I should do at the gym.

for looking good in clothes, the most important parts to work on are traps, delts, chest and arms. dips and lateral raises are your friend.

for beach you need to work on everything, and you're a mess. you need to cut til you can see your abs (while lifting weights the whole time with an actual program, like texas method or strong lifts), and only once you have abs start a lean bulk.

you need to actually plan out your diet and exercise though, just randomly eating whatever and jumping on some machines at the gym isn't going to do anything but disappoint you.

if you did a PSMF diet cut while lifting weights, and i wouldn't go over 3 weeks of that, you'd lose enough fat to see some abs and be ready to start eating ~200kcal over maintenance per day for a bulk.

PSMF needs a fair bit of discipline though, and it's not for everyone. ignore anything you read about people dying on it, you're eating highly nutritious food for 3 weeks, people have gone without much food at all for 3 weeks throughout history and been fine.

as for how long it'll take to actually build a decent amount of muscle, probably 8-9 months of lifting 3-4 days a week on one of those programs.

Well psmf seems to be a little extreme and due to some health concerns I would rather avoid it.Do you know of a diet that will help me lose weight but still eat in a normal way.I am sure that I could manage to go to the gym everyday for at least 3 months and after thst 3-4 days a week but as my meals are prepared by my gf, due to lack of time,I am probably not going to be able to follow a diet such as psmf.

eat 500 calories less than the calories you expend everyday (if you burn 2000 calories then you should take in 500)
make sure your diet is balanced with a lot of vegetables,and eat lean meat every other day and fish once a week.
try to get at least 80-100 grams of protein a day.
easy ways to get protein are legumes,meat,fish cottage cheese and eggs.
When you lose enough fat to be able to see your abs you should start increasing your calorie uptake and as you get more muscular you'll need more protein as well.

no problem bro,and remember to keep your repetitions between 8-15 if you want good muscle growth.dont fall for the 3-5 meme unless you want to be a powerlifter.
also keep track of your progress in a text file or something.track how many pushups/pushups you can do in a single set once every 2 weeks and remember to up the weight as you get stronger.
