No idea. Never tested.
Pre cut stats were:
Squat - 295x5
Bench - 250x3x5
Deadlift - 365x5

And so far, I'm 10 lbs down and bench is the only thing showing improvement. My squat and deadlift have decreased, but it's probably a combination of changing my squat form, and adding way more squat and deadlift accessory work than I was used to, at a percentage I was unable to adequately recover from, especially for deadlift.

I have more muscle mass in my upper body than in my lower body. Because of that, I was able to ride the LP a lot longer for my bench. My retard-gramming probably had something to do with it as well, during the 3 months I actually did have bench progress before I started SS. There are a couple things I'd say. The first thing is to shoot for 2 sets of 3 (2x3) on Intensity Day instead of 1x5. You will get these. The second thing I would do is to not raise the weight on volume day for a couple weeks during this time. Yes. When you can't make progress on 2x3 anymore, attempt a new 1RM, and then resume from the last successful 1x5 set. You can make a lot of progress this way.

If you're doing Rack Bench Presses, make sure you set them a tiny bit higher than your sticking point, start with a pretty low weight (maybe 65-75%) and move it as fast as you can. The best advice I ever read was Dave Tate; everyone has a sticking point in the bench, no matter how strong you are. But the faster the bar is moving when it gets there, the less time it's in the sticking point.

Set them one pin lower than the bottom of your squat. When you want to bail, lift your hands off the bar and lean forward from the waist (not the neck). Use a very light weight like 135 and practice bailing a couple times to reassure yourself that you can do it.

From a different view, I'd say very slightly below his sticking point. The theory being that you usually start failing a little bit before the bar stops moving, being able to ride momentum briefly to overcome the weakness.

And definitely go fast, but ease it off the safeties before he jams down the accelerator. Trying to go a mile a minute from a total dead start only ever got me aches and pains.

Yeah, I can't disagree. From my experience, when your sticking point is off the chest, it's almost too hard to get into position from under the safeties and still use a heavy enough weight (after a few weeks of starting low). From a little higher lets you get into position and get your elbows tight, which may have accounted for some of your soreness, but I hear what you are saying.

Dumping this way works for high bar squatting, but not low bar. Your elbows are back far and your torso is leaning more forward. The rack or safety arms are necessary.
