>do 20 minutes on the ergometer
>computer says I burned miserly 100 calories
pls tell me again why I should cardio instead of eating a piece of food less day ?
If you don't fit your macros with your restricted calories, you must eat more than intended and burn off the excess with cardio. But this is for professionals and autists.
Cardio increases metabolism with the "afterburner" effect, so basically it helps you cut faster.

dumb frogposter.

I thought this "afterburn" effect is all below bro science tier?

For cardiovascular health so you don't die of a heart attack at 40, you fucking imbecile, and because it improves just about every other aspect of your health and being.

weight lifting is enough for cardiovascular health

Do both you stupid nigger

Assuming you're a lifter:
1. Better conditioning meaning shorter rest times between weightlifting sets, thus more gains.
2. Improved blood flow to muscles, speeding up recovery from lifting.
3. Increased endurance: it's far more likely in real life situations that you'll have to lift light things a lot of times (moving house, clearing an office, etc.) than lift a very heavy thing 3-5 times.
4. Improved sense of wellbeing and better mental health.
5. Saving your arteries from all the shit you're clogging them with.

I'd like to see you try to run 10k

That's because you walked you gigantic faggot
Walking is not cardio

Nobody ever said you should. It is indeed way easier to simply not eat the thing than it is to burn it off. That being said, cardio is still good and you should still do it.
HIIT
work harder, you could've burned 300 in the same amount of time

This is the reason people lose weight doing cardio, sticking to a diet is hard when you're depressed.

Why not both
