This is true. Body tends to hypercompensate for the extended times of working out by overrecovering. So if you take lets say for one week break, you will regress and end up weaker and fatter than you started.

Even if its just for 5 days? I might have a bench to use where im going.. but with lightweights..

Do you think ANY elite athlete has ever, for any reason, stopped training for more than a DAY? Goodbye sweet gains, they hardly knew ye

Don't stop working out. If you actually go somewhere where there's no gym, just do some calisthenics. Aside from obvious stuff like deadlifts and squats you can substitude pretty much every weight exercise with a bodyweight exercise. Just gotta inform yourself online.

Yeah, every second you don't spend working out will make you a fatass.
For reals though, I haven't set foot in the gym for probably 6 months due to work and studying, and I haven't lost much.
5 days is virtually nothing. One month is virtually nothing either, so you've got practically nothing to lose. Relax kid.

These guys are pulling your leg. I've been doing reddit's 6 day ppl program for a month and had to take 4 days off because of a toe injury. Came back and started right where I left off on the weights. You'll be fine.

Oh god, please just end your gym membership right now. You are wasting time
