/fit/ what is wrong with me? I've been drinking somewhere around 3gallons of water everyday for the past 3 years. Apparently this is enough to cause damage to my body and potentially death. Why have I not felt any effects of "water intoxication"? Has my body just adjusted to this amount? Am I a fish?

I am very curious about this. My brother drinks a similar amount, and claims to be thirsty 24/7

I count my water intake and have been the past 3 years. I have a one liter bottle of water that I refill and drink 10-12 times per day.
Do you salt your food usually? The main problem from drinking much water is when you deplete your sodium stores. Salt is an anti-adrenaline so you would feel more stressed.

I am not sure, I do not count my sodium intake. However, doing some simple math using my usual schedule I can assume I consume around 1-2g of sodium per day. I tried cutting back after last summer when I tried keto diet and ended up taking in way too much sodium (probably upwards of 5-7g a day) and had the hardest anxiety attack I've ever experienced.

To everyone mentioning anything physical related, why have I never experienced anything... abnormal? Like, if this amount is as serious as it seems, I should've noticed something concerning by now.
